Spokane teen serves as page for Rep. Shea

Alex Burrington, an 8th grade student at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Spokane Valley, recently served as a page in the Washington House of Representatives. He was sponsored by Rep. Matt Shea, R-Spokane Valley.
Paging presents students with a unique educational opportunity to participate in the legislative process. Their duties vary from ceremonial tasks, such as presenting the flags, to operational chores like distributing amendments during legislative sessions.
Alex is the 14-year-old son of Scott Burrington of Greenacres, and Karen Burrington of Spokane.
