Rep. Matt Shea on KLFE: ‘There’s a lot of posturing going on’

Rep. Matt Shea, R-Spokane Valley, talks with KLFE about the kinds of awards necessary to travel on I-405, the on-going budget negotiations, and continuing legislative activities in Olympia.

“There is a lot of posturing going on right now,” said Shea, when asked about progress on the budget as the end of the session nears.  “Why don’t we not spend people’s money, and spend within our means,” he asked.  It is no secret that House Democrats are proposing tax increases, additional policy, and want to raid the rainy day fund in order to pay for items that are not considered emergencies.

Shea also talked about wildfire danger and what can be done to increase safety in the forests.
